Breeding ring cichlids

This large rearing ring was specially designed for dwarf cichlids with maternal brood care, where the female takes care of the offspring alone. Thanks to the greater depth of 10 cm, the female cichlid and her cave in the rearing ring have enough space to devote themselves to caring for their offspring without any disturbance or stress.

When the fry are independent, the female is removed from the rearing ring and allowed to return to the aquarium, while the fry can be left in the rearing ring for further stress-free rearing.

Our cichlid rearing ring has an integrated airlift for water purification. The rearing ring has so much buoyancy that a coconut cave, a short clay tube etc. can be placed in the ring for cave breeders.
